HBA of Southeastern Michigan

Building better communities … together. HBA’s Charitable & Educational Foundation was established in 1991 to promote and improve the availability of affordable housing opportunities for low income families throughout Southeastern Michigan.

It also created a viable opportunity for HBA members to give back to their communities by volunteering their professional talents and skills, and making cash and in-kind contributions to help meet the needs of those less fortunate.

Since its inception, the Foundation has raised and distributed nearly $1.6 million to housing-related nonprofits including Lighthouse of Oakland County, Michigan Colleges Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Southwest Solutions and Project Build!

We feel very strongly that it is our responsibility to give back to charitable causes. With our focus on home owners and housing, it was a natural fit to support an organization that helps provide housing for those less fortunate.

HomeAid America — and its various local chapters, including HomeAid Southeastern Michigan — work with local service organizations to “build and maintain dignified housing where homeless families and individuals can rebuild their lives.” Click here to learn more…
