If your company is engaged in the residential building and remodeling industry today, you have two choices. One choice is to try to weather this challenging economic period on your own, struggling to find business, combating local and state regulations, and trying to understand and adjust to changing MIOSHA and Federal EPA regulations.
Sound like the right choice? Probably not. Here’s your second choice:
Join the Building Industry Association of Southeastern Michigan (BIA) and become part of a dynamic team of industry professionals who are:
- Growing their companies’ top-line revenue and expanding bottom-line profits through participation in committees and councils such as the Builders Roundtable, NAHBR Professional Remodelers Council, and the Professional Women in Building Council;
- Expanding their professional knowledge and capabilities by participating in required educational courses needed to apply for a — or maintain their — Builders or Maintenance & Alteration Contractors license, understanding and implementing new fall protection requirements mandated by MIOSHA, and knowing how to adhere to extensive regulations regarding lead abatement and elimination in homes constructed before 1978;
- Gaining valuable customer leads through BIA programs such as our: Home Improvement Shows, Parade of Homes, and Buyers Guide publication;
- Taking advantage of numerous discount programs offered by BIA to significantly reduce their annual business operations costs — from workers comp insurance to fleet fuel programs to GM vehicle discounts and more;
- Protecting their livelihood by actively participating in one or more Builder/Remodeler Community Forums and/or influencing legislation at local, county and state levels.
